The Summer’s To-Do List

  1. Paint the house – Both bedrooms have been painted, nothing else

  3. Don’t drop out of Stats Course
  4. Pass Stats Course – Almost there!
  5. Submit five stories for publishing – 2/5s done

  7. Get both novels (both untitled as yet) to ten chapters – Five on one, three on the other
  8. Go camping with Shaun done, hoping for another one in early autumn/late summer
  9. Read through GVC’s student literary magazine to prepare for Editorship in Spring
  10. Run Renee’s degree auditShe’ll be a December ‘07 graduate of DMACC
  11. Convince Renee to go to GVC in the fall
  12. Write at least five other short stories for submit during fall season – started three, like two of them, none are finished
  13. Take Clep to test out of computer science class this fall – tentatively scheduled, but not completed
  14. Don’t quit job without finding a fall-back position – so far, so good. But I’ve been tempted several times
  15. Revamp résumé, predicting upcoming school year – thought a lot about it, no action taken
  16. Avoid blogging, - using lists, videos and other miscellaneous distractions, as needed
  17. Make baby with Renee

Gearing up for the first camping trip of the year

Unlike Rob's back hair, this is going to be an unimpressive feature.

So, it might be a little tardy for a first trip of the year, but since I never top more than two trips in any given year, not a huge deal for me. As usual, I'm taking nephew Shaun, but it will also mark the first camping trip for his little brother, Anthony. We're not getting very adventurous. I've opted to take them to the good ol' standby down in Hopeville. My parents' property is straight across from the park, so they'll have some (crappy) playground equipment and plenty of area to run around in. Plus it's 15 minutes from my parents in case of an inconsolable Anthony, or monsoon. I've earmarked Saturday and Sunday as our days out there, but I might bump it up to Friday and Saturday, so I have a day to recover before work. That is, provided I can inspect my tent and stuff today and prepare accordingly.

Okay, gonna go do something else now.
